Risk Disclaimer

Read this before you use SolMate to hold or move crypto assets. Self-custody puts you in full control of your funds — and full responsibility for them. This page is written to be blunt, not to scare you off: you deserve the real picture before you rely on the app.

Crypto assets are volatile

The value of SOL and other tokens can swing sharply and without warning, and can fall to zero. SolMate does not protect you from market movements. Only hold what you can afford to lose, and never rely on crypto for money you need for rent, food, debt, or anyone who depends on you.

Transactions are irreversible

Blockchain transactions cannot be undone. If you send funds to the wrong address, send the wrong amount, or approve a malicious transaction, there is no bank, support desk, or admin who can reverse it. Always verify the recipient address and the amount before you sign, and be wary of anyone pressuring you to send funds or share your keys.

Self-custody means no recovery

SolMate is non-custodial: your wallet, recovery phrase, private keys, and PIN live on your own device, and we never have access to them. That also means we cannot recover them for you. If you lose your recovery phrase, key, or PIN — or if someone else obtains them — access to your funds is gone permanently, with no reset and no way to restore it. Back up your recovery phrase offline, keep it private, and never enter it into any website or share it with anyone.

This is not financial advice

Nothing in SolMate — no balance, chart, or piece of copy — is financial, investment, legal, or tax advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold anything. We are not your broker or adviser. Any decision you make is yours alone.

Devnet and as-is software

SolMate currently runs on the Solana devnet and is provided “as is”, without warranties. Devnet SOL and devnet tokens have no real-world monetary value — devnet exists so people can build and experiment safely. Always confirm which network you are on before signing anything. If the app ever operates on mainnet, transactions would involve real assets with real value, and every risk on this page would apply with real financial consequences.

Software and infrastructure risk

  • Bugs and exploits. Software, wallets, and the underlying network can contain bugs or be exploited, which can cause loss of funds.
  • Network and infrastructure issues. Congestion, RPC outages, or failed transactions can delay or disrupt what you are trying to do.
  • Scams and phishing. Fake apps, malicious links, and impostors are common in crypto. No one legitimate will ever ask for your recovery phrase or private key.

You are responsible for your keys and transactions

By using SolMate, you acknowledge these risks and accept full responsibility for safeguarding your recovery phrase, keys, and PIN, and for every transaction you sign and its outcome.
