Terms of Service

Last updated July 11, 2026

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of SolMate (the “Service”), a non-custodial Solana wallet with a built-in community, currently running on the Solana devnet. By creating or importing a wallet, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What SolMate is

SolMate lets you create or import a self-custodied Solana wallet, send and receive SOL and SPL tokens, view your holdings and NFTs, and connect with others through a community feed — posts, comments, and follows. SolMate is software and infrastructure; it is not a broker, dealer, exchange, investment adviser, or custodian.

The Service currently operates on Solana devnet. Devnet SOL and devnet tokens have no monetary value and exist so people can build and experiment safely. Nothing on the Service should be treated as a real financial instrument.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms.
  • You may not use the Service if you are located in, or are a resident of, any jurisdiction where using it would be illegal, or if you are subject to sanctions or on any prohibited-persons list.
  • You are solely responsible for complying with the laws, tax obligations, and regulations that apply to you.

3. Self-custody — we never hold your keys or funds

SolMate is non-custodial. Your wallet, recovery phrase, and private keys are generated and stored on your own device, and we never take custody of, store, or have access to your keys, recovery phrase, or funds. Every transaction is signed by you and broadcast to the Solana network. We cannot move, freeze, reverse, or recover your assets, and we cannot recover a lost recovery phrase, key, or PIN. If you lose them, access to your wallet is gone permanently. Protecting your keys and your device is entirely your responsibility.

4. Your responsibilities

  • Keep your recovery phrase, private keys, and PIN secret and backed up offline.
  • Review every transaction — the amount, the token, and the destination address — before you sign.
  • Double-check recipient addresses. Transactions on the blockchain are irreversible; funds sent to the wrong address cannot be retrieved.
  • You are responsible for any content you publish in the community and for how you use the Service.

5. Community features and acceptable use

The community feed lets you post, comment, and follow other users. Content you publish is associated with your wallet or display name and is visible to others. You agree not to, and not to help anyone else:

  • Use the Service for fraud, money laundering, sanctions evasion, or any other unlawful activity.
  • Post content that impersonates a person or brand, harasses or threatens others, or infringes intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.
  • Publish malware, phishing links, spam, or attempts to trick others into revealing their keys.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, disrupt it, scrape it abusively, or bypass rate limits or security controls.

We may remove content, restrict access, or refuse service at our discretion, including where we reasonably believe these Terms have been broken.

6. Network fees

SolMate does not charge you to hold a wallet. Transactions you send are subject to the standard Solana network fee, which is paid to the network — not to us — and is required for the transaction to be processed. On devnet these fees are paid in valueless devnet SOL.

7. No financial advice

Nothing on the Service is financial, investment, legal, or tax advice, and no content is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any asset. Crypto assets are volatile and you are solely responsible for your own decisions. See our Risk Disclaimer before you transact.

8. No warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that the balances or data it displays are accurate. Blockchains, RPC providers, and wallet software are outside our control and may fail, fork, congest, or be exploited.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SolMate and its contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of funds, tokens, SOL, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service — even if advised of the possibility — including any loss resulting from a lost recovery phrase, key, or PIN, or from a transaction you signed. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

10. Assumption of risk and indemnity

You use the Service at your own risk and accept full responsibility for your keys, your transactions, and their outcomes. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SolMate and its contributors from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your breach of these Terms.

11. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties such as the Solana network and RPC providers. We do not control and are not responsible for those services, and your use of them is governed by their own terms.

12. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms; when we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [governing jurisdiction to be specified], without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute will be resolved in the courts located there. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
